I want a hotel in heart of Annapolis, don't want to drive to restaurants or shopping. then will drive to Naval Academy for hockey game with the University of Delaware on Sept. 23.

There are several hotels in the heart of Annapolis:

The Loews is in the first block of West Street just off of Church Circle and close to all the downtown restaurants. It's not a bad walk from there to the Academy either. This hotel has recently been redone, is a favorite with politicians, and has opened West, a restaurant that specializes in local food, Chesapeake Bay specialties, and really is one of a kind in the area.

The Westin is located on Westgate Circle several blocks from the Loews and is the newest hotel in downtown Annapolis. It also has a wonderful restaurant, has a huge parking garage and is the terminus of the bus circuit for free transportation downtown. You can walk from the Westin up Taylor to the Naval Academy stadium if you don't mind a good walk.

The O'Callaghan is located on West Street between the Loews and the Westin. It is an Irish hotel and has a pub located on the ground floor.

Finally, the Annapolis Waterfront Marriott is the only waterfront hotel in downtown Annapolis. It is an easy walk to the Naval Academy as well.

All four of these hotels will allow you to park your car and walk all weekend. They all have fabulous access to the Academy, and the shops and restaurants downtown.
