Planning a meeting in May 2013

I'm exploring having a national meeting of an organization to which I belong--we are mostly book collectors--next May (2013). I'd be interested in learning whether the first two weekends are especially crowded times in Annapolis becase online inquiries for hotels bring back "no rooms available" at most of them. I know the USNA graduation isn't until the end of May but am I looking (50-60 rooms at most) at a bad time generally? Thanks for any help any insiders can provide.

The Westin Hotel responded by saying that weekends in May are all busy, but the first weekend (May 3rd and 4th) they may be able to accommodate a group of your size. Just call Heather Markel in the Group Sales office at 410.972.4318.

I will post more responses as I get them. One big event in Annapolis in May, but towards the end of the month is the Naval Academy graduation.
